In Hocus Pocus 2, the three high-school students, Max, Allison, and Dani, from the original film are now adults living in Salem. Despite being 29 years since the original incident, the town is still haunted by the legend of the Sanderson sisters - Winifred, Sarah, and Mary. The sisters were resurrected when a skeptical teenager from the town, named Emily, lit the Black Flame Candle during an ill-advised Halloween prank.
Determined to exact their revenge and continue their quest for immortality, the Sanderson sisters once again return to Salem on the eve of All Hallow's Eve. However, this time, their magical abilities seem even more potent and destructive. Sensing their return, Max, Allison, and Dani reluctantly join forces again to stop the witches before they wreak havoc on the town.
