Hit & Run is a 2012 American action-comedy film written and directed by Dax Shepard. The film stars Shepard as Charlie Bronson, a former getaway driver who is in the Witness Protection Program and in love with his girlfriend, Annie (played by Kristen Bell). When Annie lands a job opportunity in Los Angeles, Charlie decides to risk exposing his identity and take her there in his custom-built car.
Along the way, they are pursued by Charlie's former criminal confederates, led by his ex-partner, Alex (played by Bradley Cooper), who is seeking revenge on Charlie for testifying against him. The chase leads to a series of dangerous and comedic situations, including a run-in with Annie's jealous ex-boyfriend, Gil (played by Michael Rosenbaum), car chases and shootouts.
As they race towards Los Angeles, Charlie and Annie encounter various eccentric characters, including a gay police officer and an ex-boyfriend of Annie's, who add to the mix of chaos and hilarity. Hit & Run is a fun, action-packed film with a cast of recognizable faces in a mix of genres.
