In Highlander: The Final Dimension, Connor McLeod is shown to have aged and become disillusioned with his immortality, desiring only peace and solitude. However, when he learns of Kane's return, he realizes that he must once again take up his sword to protect the world from the dangerous immortal.
As he prepares for his battle with Kane, McLeod is joined by his love interest, Alex (Deborah Kara Unger), who is also an expert in ancient Japanese art and lore. Together, they attempt to decipher the clues left behind by Nakano in order to uncover the secret to defeating Kane.
Meanwhile, Kane has assembled a group of powerful immortals to assist him in his quest for domination. Among these is Sarah (Lisa Barbuscia), a seductive and deadly femme fatale who becomes a major antagonist to McLeod and Alex.
As the final showdown between McLeod and Kane approaches, the two immortals engage in a brutal and epic battle that spans centuries of history and numerous dramatic locations. In the end, only one will emerge victorious and claim the ultimate prize of immortal power.
