High Voltage is a 2018 horror-thriller movie directed by Alex Keledjian. The film tells the story of an up-and-coming rock band called "The Living Daylights" who sign a deal with music executive Rick Roland (played by David Arquette). The band is managed by industry veteran Jimmy Kleen (played by Luke Wilson).
During one of their rehearsals, the lead singer of the band, Rachel (played by Allie Gonino), and her mother Barb (played by Perrey Reeves), get struck by lightning. While Barb dies, Rachel survives but with a drastic change in her personality. She becomes more confident and assertive, and strange electrical powers start coursing through her veins.
Rachel discovers that she has the power to take the life force of men. She starts to use this power to electrify her performances on stage, which leads to the band gaining a lot of popularity and fame. However, things soon spiral out of control, and Rachel's powers start to consume her, leading to a terrifying climax.
The film stars Allie Gonino as Rachel, David Arquette as Rick Roland, Luke Wilson as Jimmy Kleen, and Perrey Reeves as Barb. The film received mixed reviews upon its release, with some critics praising its unique concept and performances, while others criticized its direction and script.
