High on the Hog is a crime-drama film that follows the story of two DTA agents, Wayne and Brick, who are assigned to infiltrate a small-town farming operation in Northern California. The farm is believed to be cultivating a potent strain of marijuana called "The Emerald Triangle," which is causing a massive epidemic of drug addiction and overdoses in the city.

As Wayne and Brick begin to gather intelligence on the farm, they become immersed in the close-knit community and start to empathize with Queenie and her family.
