Here Comes the Sun follows the daily lives of four disabled veterans - Tom, Sarah, John, and Emily - who live in an assisted living home for military veterans. The four of them are all suffering from PTSD, depression, and are estranged from their families.
Despite their disabilities and challenges, the four veterans manage to establish a deep bond and friendship that helps them cope with their struggles. They get together to talk, laugh, and share their memories of their military service.
However, their routines are disrupted when Emily's granddaughter, Sophia, comes to visit. Sophia is a curious and free-spirited young girl who develops a close relationship with her grandfather's friends. She pushes them out of their comfort zones and motivates them to be more open and to reconnect with their families.
Throughout the film, the four veterans face challenges, both individually and as a group. Some try to end their lives while others struggle to find a sense of purpose. Together, they fight their demons and learn to live again.
As the movie progresses, the veterans embark on a journey of healing and acceptance, both with themselves and with their estranged family members. They learn to see the beauty in life, even in the midst of their struggles, and discover that there is always hope for a brighter tomorrow.
