The young man's name is Arius and his bride is named Leandra. Leandra is the daughter of a wealthy merchant and the evil king who kidnaps her is named Rhesus. Rhesus wants to marry Leandra to gain access to her family's wealth and power.
Hercules is initially reluctant to help, still haunted by the memories of his past and the devastating act he committed. However, Arius' determination and bravery remind him of a time when Hercules was a hero, before he lost everything he held dear.
As they journey to Rhesus' castle, Hercules and Arius encounter various obstacles and enemies, including a scorpion monster and an army of Rhesus' soldiers. Along the way, Hercules also struggles with his own inner demons and guilt over his past.
When they finally reach the castle, they face off against Rhesus and his henchmen in an epic battle. Despite being vastly outnumbered, Hercules and Arius fight valiantly to save Leandra and bring down Rhesus' tyranny.
In the end, Hercules finds redemption in helping Arius and Leandra, as well as in standing up against evil once again. The movie ends with Hercules and Arius shaking hands, both having gained a newfound respect for each other.
