In Herbie Fully Loaded, Maggie Peyton (played by Lindsay Lohan) is a young woman who comes from a family of car enthusiasts. As a graduation present, her father gives her a beat-up, rusted Volkswagen Beetle. Maggie soon discovers that the car has a mind of its own and is convinced that Herbie is alive.
Maggie decides to take Herbie to the garage for some much-needed repairs and upgrades. While there, she meets Kevin Myers (played by Justin Long), a mechanic who has dreams of becoming a NASCAR driver. Maggie and Kevin soon form a partnership, and they work together to turn Herbie into a formidable racing machine.
Along the way, Maggie and Herbie must overcome various obstacles, including the disapproval of her father (played by Michael Keaton), who thinks racing is too dangerous for his daughter. Maggie also faces stiff competition from Trip Murphy (played by Matt Dillon), a NASCAR driver who will stop at nothing to win.
Despite the challenges, Maggie and Herbie persist, and they ultimately earn a spot in the NASCAR circuit. Along the way, Maggie learns important lessons about determination, friendship, and the power of believing in oneself.
