Helter Skelter is a 2012 Japanese film directed by Mika Ninagawa, based on the manga series of the same name written and illustrated by Kyoko Okazaki. The film stars actress and model Erika Sawajiri as the lead character, Ririko, and features a supporting cast of prominent Japanese actors.

The film follows the rise and fall of Ririko, a once-ordinary girl who transforms into a stunningly beautiful star through a series of extreme plastic surgeries performed by the shady Dr. Asada. Ririko's fame and fortune grow as she becomes a highly sought-after model, actress, and singer, but her physical and mental health begin to deteriorate rapidly due to the constant strain of maintaining her surgically-enhanced appearance.

As Ririko's glamorous lifestyle takes its toll on her body and mind, she becomes increasingly desperate and unhinged, resorting to drugs, alcohol, and other destructive behavior to cope with the pressures of her career and the pain of her deteriorating body. Meanwhile, Dr. Asada and his associates are exposed as unscrupulous charlatans who exploit vulnerable women for profit.

Ultimately, Ririko's fragile facade of beauty and success comes crashing down as she spirals out of control, leading to a shocking and tragic conclusion. Helter Skelter explores themes of vanity, identity, and the dark side of the entertainment industry in a visually stunning and emotionally gripping narrative.
