Hell's Kitchen is a 2019 crime drama film directed by Andrea Berloff. The movie stars Melissa McCarthy as Kathy Brennan, a loving wife and mother who also runs a business with her husband, Jimmy (Brian d'Arcy James). Jimmy is deeply involved in criminal activity with his cousins, Kevin (Margo Martindale) and Helen (Tiffany Haddish).

One night, the family and Kevin's son-in-law, Rob (Jeremy Bobb), attempt to rob a liquor store. However, their plan goes awry when they end up in a shootout with the cashier and two police officers. In the chaos, Jimmy, Kevin, and Rob are all killed, while Helen is left severely injured. The only one to survive is Jimmy's cousin, Gabriel O'Malley (Domhnall Gleeson), who takes the blame for the robbery and is sent to prison for five years.

While in prison, Gabriel becomes close with a fellow inmate, Little Jackie (Myk Watford), who was a former heavyweight boxer. Jackie teaches Gabriel how to box and encourages him to turn his life around. After his release, Gabriel moves in with Kathy and her family, as he has nowhere else to go. He begins to train as a boxer, hoping to make it big in the sport.

Meanwhile, Kathy's daughter, Claire (Annabella Sciorra), is devastated by the loss of her father and becomes obsessed with getting revenge on Gabriel, believing that he was responsible for Jimmy's death. She pressures her new boyfriend, Danny (James Badge Dale), to kill Gabriel, but Danny knows that Gabriel was not at fault and refuses to go through with it.

As Gabriel continues to train and make progress in the boxing world, tensions rise between him and the Brennan family, especially Claire. However, Gabriel remains determined to turn his life around and start anew. The movie ultimately climaxes with a boxing match between Gabriel and a formidable opponent, which proves to be a turning point for both Gabriel and the Brennan family.

Overall, Hell's Kitchen is a riveting crime drama that explores the themes of loyalty, family, and redemption, with a stellar cast and engaging plot.
