Hellraiser: Inferno is a horror movie released in 2000, directed by Scott Derrickson and starring Craig Sheffer, Nicholas Turturro, and Doug Bradley. The movie is the fifth installment in the Hellraiser franchise and features the return of the iconic villain, Pinhead.
The story follows Detective Joseph Thorne (Sheffer), a corrupt and drug-addicted police detective who is assigned to investigate a brutal murder. As he delves deeper into the case, Thorne becomes embroiled in a strange and surreal world of sadism, murder, and madness.
Thorne discovers that the killer is a man known only as "The Engineer" (Turturro), who is responsible for a series of gruesome murders. However, instead of bringing The Engineer to justice, Thorne becomes obsessed with him, and his own deteriorating mental state begins to unravel.
As Thorne's obsession with The Engineer grows, he begins to experience terrifying hallucinations and visions, and he must confront his own darkest fears and desires to solve the case. Along the way, he encounters several bizarre and grotesque characters, including a demonic creature known as "The Cenobites."
