In the movie, Hellboy and his team are tasked with tracking down the evil elf prince, Nuada, who has broken an ancient pact between humans and mythical creatures by stealing a piece of the crown that controls the powerful Golden Army.
Nuada believes that humans have destroyed the earth and that it's time for the magical creatures to take over.
Hellboy, along with his team consisting of his pyrokinetic girlfriend Liz, a merman named Abe Sapien, and Johann Krauss, a disembodied psychic entity, must navigate through dangerous mystical lands and fight off various creatures to stop the prince and his army.
At the same time, Hellboy is dealing with his own personal issues as he learns about his origins and becomes conflicted about his place in the world. The movie features visually stunning special effects and action-packed fight scenes as well as humor and heart.
