The Hellbound Saints, led by the charismatic and irreverent Father Angus (played by Clifton Collins Jr.), are a group of rogue priests who use unorthodox and often sacrilegious methods to exorcise demons from possessed individuals. Their unorthodox methods include excessive drinking, cursing, and even using sex as a tool to expel demons.
When a powerful demon known as Surtr is unleashed upon the world, the Hellbound Saints are called upon to defeat him before he brings about the apocalypse. However, to summon Surtr, they must commit a mortal sin, which goes against their vows as priests.
As they embark on their mission to save the world, the Hellbound Saints face internal conflicts and personal demons of their own. Father Angus struggles with his faith and the desire for redemption, while the rest of the team must come to terms with their own dark pasts. Along the way, they encounter a variety of eccentric characters, including a possessed rock star and a sultry demon hunter.
Through their crude and irreverent ways, the Hellbound Saints must confront their own doubts and fears in order to defeat the ultimate evil threatening mankind. In the end, they must decide whether the ends justify the means, and if they are willing to make the ultimate sacrifice for the greater good.
