The father, Luke Vaughn, works as a dealer in a casino where his daughter is undergoing treatment for a rare medical condition. When the insurance company refuses to cover the costs of the treatment, Luke is desperate for money and decides to rob the casino with the help of his co-worker, Cox.
However, things take a dangerous turn when they are confronted by the casino's security and are forced to flee. In the chaos, Luke and Cox hijack a city bus with a group of passengers onboard, including a police officer.
