Heart Condition is a 1990 comedy-drama film directed by James D. Parriott. The film stars Bob Hoskins as Jack Moony, a bigoted LAPD detective who suffers a heart attack and is given a life-saving heart transplant from a slain black defense lawyer named Napoleon Stone, played by Denzel Washington.

Upon waking up from the transplant surgery, Moony starts experiencing strange visions and hallucinations of Stone, who has returned in ghost form to ask for Moony's help in solving his murder. Moony is initially skeptical and dismissive of Stone's presence, but as he begins to investigate his murder, he starts to realize that Stone's claims of corruption and cover-up in the legal system may have some truth to them.

As Moony and Stone work together to uncover the truth behind the murder, they also begin to confront their own prejudices and biases, as Moony learns to see beyond the color of a person's skin and Stone comes to understand and forgive Moony's past bigotry. Along the way, they encounter a colorful cast of characters, including Stone's ex-girlfriend and fellow lawyer Crystal Gerrity (played by Chloe Webb) and Moony's partner on the force, Reggie Dunlop (played by Roger E. Mosley).

Heart Condition explores themes of racism, corruption, and redemption, while also delivering a healthy dose of humor and heartwarming moments. While not a box office hit upon its release, the film has since gained a cult following for its unique blend of genres and powerful performances from Hoskins and Washington.
