Corporate Climber Falls for Protestor.

Comedy  United States of America

"Head Office" is a 1985 satirical comedy film that takes a cynical and humorous look at corporate culture, politics, and corruption. The movie stars Judge Reinhold as Jack Issel, the privileged son of a powerful senator who lands a job at a multinational corporation, the Union Corporation. Jack, who has no experience or qualifications, is promoted quickly through the ranks due to his connections, rather than his abilities.

Despite his lack of qualifications, Jack sets his sights on becoming the vice president of the company. He is willing to do anything to achieve this goal, including backstabbing his colleagues, manipulating his superiors, and compromising his moral principles. While working at the Union Corporation, Jack becomes romantically involved with a fellow employee, Jane Caldwell (played by Lori-Nan Engler), who is the daughter of the company's CEO, Mr. Caldwell (played by Richard Masur). Jane is also involved in leading a protest against Union's shady business practices, which puts her at odds with Jack's ambitions.

As Jack climbs the corporate ladder, he gets caught up in a variety of corporate intrigues and scandals. He becomes embroiled in a power struggle with his rival, Max Landsberger (played by Danny DeVito), an unscrupulous executive who will stop at nothing to advance his own career. He also finds himself caught between his loyalties to his family and his obligations to the company, which puts him in a precarious position.

Throughout the film, "Head Office" skewers the greed, corruption, and absurdity that is often associated with the corporate world. With a cast of notable actors, including Wallace Shawn, Jane Seymour, and Eddie Albert, the film delivers a hilarious and biting critique of corporate culture that still resonates today.
