Yazmin and Jai's relationship starts off hot and heavy, with Jai showering Yazmin with gifts, compliments and attention. Yazmin is swept off her feet by the attention from Jai and the passion he ignites in her. Despite warning signs from Jai's ex-girlfriend and Yazmin's friend, Maya, Yazmin is blinded by her love for Jai and believes all the lies he tells her.
Things take a turn for the worse when Jai's controlling and abusive behavior starts to show. He isolates Yasmin from her friends and family, manipulates her emotions, and demands complete loyalty from her. When Yazmin tries to leave Jai, he becomes violent, and she fears for her life.
As Yazmin tries to escape from Jai's grasp, she uncovers the truth about his criminal activities and realizes he has been using her to further his illegal business operations. With the help of Maya and a detective, Yazmin is able to turn the tables on Jai, but not without consequences.
