The movie Have Rocket, Will Travel was released in 1959 and was directed by David Lowell Rich. It starred the popular comedy trio, The Three Stooges, consisting of Moe Howard, Larry Fine, and Joe DeRita.
The movie started with the Stooges working as janitors in a space center. They accidentally launch a rocket to Venus and find themselves on a strange planet. There they encounter a talking unicorn named Ogg, a giant fire-breathing tarantula, and an alien computer who has destroyed all human life on the planet except for the talking unicorn.
The alien computer creates evil duplicates of the Stooges and orders them to capture the real Stooges. The real Stooges team up with Ogg and manage to destroy the duplicates and the alien computer, thus saving the planet and its inhabitants.
The Three Stooges return to Earth as heroes. They are greeted with a ticker-tape parade with fans cheering them on and praising them for their bravery. The movie ends with the Stooges starting a new job, this time as astronauts, ready for their next adventure.
The movie was well-received by audiences and is considered one of the best Three Stooges movies of all time. It was also their first feature film to be shot in color. The movie was a success and helped cement the trio's status as comedy legends.
