Jack Weil is a skilled gambler who travels the world in search of new games to play. When he hears about the vibrant gambling scene in Havana, he decides to visit Cuba. On the boat to Havana, he meets Roberta Duran, the wife of a revolutionary named Arturo.
As Jack explores Havana, he becomes enamored with the city's vibrant culture and the beautiful Roberta. However, he quickly learns that things are not as they seem in Cuba, as he witnesses the brutality of the secret police and the struggles of the revolutionaries.
When Arturo is taken away by the secret police, Roberta is left alone and vulnerable. Jack feels compelled to help her, and he sets out to free her from captivity. Along the way, he becomes more involved in the revolution and begins to see the injustices of the Batista regime.
As the political tensions in Cuba build to a boiling point, Jack must decide where his loyalties lie and which side of the conflict he wants to support. With the help of Roberta and some of the revolutionary leaders, he finds himself caught up in a dangerous plot to undermine the government and support the Cuban people.
