Haunt is a 2019 horror movie directed by Scott Beck and Bryan Woods. It follows the story of a group of college friends, Harper (Katie Stevens), Bailey (Lauryn McClain), Angela (Shazi Raja), Mallory (Schuyler Helford), and Nathan (Will Brittain) who decide to check out an "extreme" haunted house on Halloween night.
The haunted house is advertised as being a place where its visitors can experience their darkest fears. The friends quickly realize that the experience is much more intense and terrifying than they expected. The group is separated and each member is forced to confront their own personal fears. Harper, the lead character, is forced to confront her abusive ex-boyfriend in one of the rooms.
As the night progresses, the friends start to realize that the haunted house is not what it seems and that they might not make it out alive. They also discover that the people running the haunted house are actually sadistic killers who have turned their love of Halloween into a deadly game of cat and mouse.
Haunt is a classic slasher movie that delivers on suspense, jump scares, and gore. The film is well crafted and boasts some incredible practical effects. Overall, Haunt is a great Halloween movie that horror fans should definitely check out.
