The movie Hatching follows 12-year-old Tinja as she struggles to live up to her mother's expectations of a perfect family. Tinja is constantly trying to impress her mother and gain her approval, but her efforts always seem to fall short.
One night, Tinja discovers a strange egg in her backyard. When the egg hatches, it reveals a tiny creature that quickly grows into a large, dragon-like beast. Tinja is both thrilled and terrified by her new companion, whom she names Sisu.
As Tinja and Sisu bond, they become inseparable, and Tinja's mother begins to take notice of her daughter's newfound happiness. However, things take a dark turn when Sisu's true nature is revealed, and Tinja is forced to choose between her beloved companion and her family's reputation.
