"Hard Target" is a 1993 action-thriller film directed by John Woo and starring Jean-Claude Van Damme. The film follows Natasha Binder (played by Yancy Butler), a young woman who travels to New Orleans to search for her missing father. On her quest, she meets Chance Boudreaux (played by Van Damme), a skilled but down-on-his-luck merchant marine who agrees to help her.
As they investigate, they uncover a sinister plot by a group of wealthy hunters, led by Emil Fouchon (played by Lance Henriksen), who use homeless men as prey in a brutal game of hunting. After witnessing the hunters murder one of their victims, Natasha and Chance become targets themselves and must fight to survive against their ruthless pursuers.
The film features intense action sequences and impressive stunts, including a memorable finale involving a motorboat chase through the streets of New Orleans. "Hard Target" was a commercial success and helped to launch Van Damme's mainstream Hollywood career.
