The movie Hard Plastic follows the story of Meg Dick, who has always had a passion for disc golf. However, her father, played by Andy Dick, is entirely unsupportive of her dreams. He believes that disc golf is not a real sport and that Meg should focus on more traditional and accepted sports.
Feeling trapped and unsupported, Meg decides to leave her father's home and pursue her dreams on her own. She meets Natisha Anderson, a scratcher addict who becomes her caddy and close friend.
Together, Meg and Natisha set out to find a sponsor for Meg's disc golf career. Despite facing rejection from many companies, they finally secure a deal with a small sports equipment company.
As Meg trains and prepares for the disc golf championship, her father begins to regret his harsh treatment of her. He realizes that Meg's passion for disc golf is genuine and that she has worked hard to achieve her goals.
