Happy Old Year is a Thai movie directed by Nawapol Thamrongrattanarit released in 2019. The movie follows the story of a young woman named Jean and her desire to renovate her home and open a furniture design studio in Bangkok. Jean, who used to be very private and orderly, now finds herself amidst a huge pile of cluttered things that she needs to get rid of. Amidst all the chaos of trying to declutter, Jean stumbles across a box of old memories that belong to her ex-boyfriend, Aim. Aim and Jean have been in a relationship for more than five years before they separated, and Jean never allowed any of his belongings to remain in her home out of resentment. However, Jean now decides to contact Aim and return the belongings to him. The reunion ignites a spark of changes in Jean's perception of life, love, and happiness. Jean realizes that she has been holding onto things that do not matter to her and learns to let go of her past to embrace the future.
