Happy Gilmore, played by Adam Sandler, is a failed ice hockey player who discovers his talent for golf when he accidentally hits a golf ball further than anyone else on a driving range. With the encouragement of his grandmother and a retired golf pro named Chubbs Peterson, Happy begins to pursue a career in golf with his unorthodox swing and aggressive attitude.
