Haole is a coming-of-age drama set in rural Hawaii. The film follows thirteen-year-old David Kealoha as he dreams of leaving his small town and making a life for himself elsewhere. However, his plans are derailed when a white boy named Jonah Morris moves into the neighborhood. Despite David's initial skepticism, the two boys strike up a friendship and begin to spend time together.
