Halo 4: Forward Unto Dawn is a live-action web series that serves as a prequel to the Halo 4 video game. The story follows Thomas Lasky, a young UNSC cadet who struggles with the pressure of living up to his family's military legacy and the fear of failing in battle. Lasky is assigned to the Corbulo Academy of Military Science, where he meets his roommate Michael "Sully" Sullivan and the confident and capable cadet Chyler Silva.
As tensions between the UNSC and the Covenant escalate, Lasky and his fellow cadets are forced to face a brutal reality when their academy is attacked by the alien race. On the verge of defeat, Lasky must overcome his fears and team up with the legendary Spartan super-soldier, Master Chief John-117, to survive and fight back against the Covenant.
Throughout the series, Lasky and his teammates learn the true nature of war and the sacrifices required to protect humanity from the threat of the Covenant. The series also explores the origins of the Spartan program and provides insight into the story and characters of Halo 4.
