Halloween H20: 20 Years Later is a 1998 horror film and the seventh installment in the Halloween film series. The movie is a direct sequel to Halloween and Halloween II, and ignores the events of all sequels that came in between.

The plot revolves around Laurie Strode (played by Jamie Lee Curtis), who has faked her death and is living under a new identity in California. Laurie suffers from post-traumatic stress and alcoholism due to her traumatic experience with Michael Myers. She has a strained relationship with her teenage son John (played by Josh Hartnett), who becomes frustrated with his mother's overprotectiveness.

Laurie's brother, Michael Myers (played by Chris Durand), tracks her down and begins stalking her and the school where she works. Meanwhile, John and his friends plan to celebrate Halloween by going to a nearby party. Laurie tries to warn them about Michael Myers, but they do not believe her.

As Halloween night approaches, Laurie must confront her fears and face Michael Myers once again. The film features intense chase scenes, brutal killings, and a final showdown between Laurie and Michael.

The film was a box office success and received positive reviews from critics, who praised Jamie Lee Curtis's performance and the film's suspenseful atmosphere. The movie's success also led to a direct sequel, Halloween: Resurrection, which was released in 2002.
