Devin's life has been turned upside down with his parents' divorce, and he's not happy about being forced to move to his mother's hometown in rural Louisiana to live with his grandmother. He's angry and resentful, feeling like he's been uprooted from everything he knows and loves to be stuck in a place where he doesn't belong.
