Hal King is a coming-of-age drama that is set in the 1950s. Hal King, the protagonist, is a young man who has it all; he's part of the beatnik jazz scene and enjoys a decadent lifestyle involving drugs and fast women. However, everything changes when he is drafted for the Korean War.
Hal is conflicted as he must choose between two worlds. He must decide whether he wants to carry his father's political legacy or choose love and stay with the woman he loves.
