Guilty by Association is a 2003 crime drama directed by Po Johns. The film stars Morgan Freeman as Police Lieutenant Redding, a veteran cop who is tired of the never-ending gang wars in his city. When a young man named Eddie (James Handy) is released from prison and gets sucked back into a life of crime, Redding sees an opportunity to take down the man responsible for the escalating violence.
Eddie reconnects with his former best friend, Trey (Larry Sullivan), who has become a successful drug dealer while Eddie was behind bars. Trey sees an opportunity to expand his business with Eddie's help and lures him back into the drug world. However, when Trey's girlfriend (Stacy Haiduk) gets involved and tensions rise, the partnership turns sour and violence erupts.
As the body count rises, Redding struggles to keep the peace and protect innocent bystanders. He soon discovers that the root of the problem goes deeper than just one drug dealer and that corruption and deceit are rampant in the police department.
