In the movie Green Zone, Chief Warrant Officer Roy Miller (played by Matt Damon) and his team, tasked with finding weapons of mass destruction in Iraq, become increasingly skeptical of their mission after they are repeatedly sent on wild goose chases to find nonexistent WMDs. Miller becomes convinced that they are being misled by faulty intelligence, and that the real motive for the invasion may have been something else entirely.

Miller and his team find themselves at odds with their superiors, including Clark Poundstone (played by Greg Kinnear), a smarmy Pentagon official who is overseeing the occupation and appears to be in league with a shadowy figure known only as "Magellan," who may have been behind the fabrication of intelligence about WMDs.

As Miller digs deeper, he uncovers a complex web of deception and corruption, including a local Iraqi businessman who may be working with Poundstone, and a group of Iraqi civilians who are being held in secret detention facilities.

Green Zone is a tense and action-packed thriller that raises important questions about the war in Iraq and the role of the U.S. military in that conflict. It was directed by Paul Greengrass, known for his work on the Bourne series, and features a strong ensemble cast, including Brendan Gleeson, Jason Isaacs, and Amy Ryan.
