Greatland is a dystopian sci-fi film set in a post-apocalyptic world where a universal Mother rules over humanity and her "children" who are anthropomorphic creatures of various species. The Mother has created a society where everyone lives in a constant state of pleasure and happiness, with no need for work or strife.
The protagonist, Ulysses, is a young human boy who has grown up in Greatland and is deeply in love with his childhood sweetheart, Christina, a "wolf girl" who is also his best friend. However, when Christina is suddenly taken by a group of rebels seeking to overthrow the Mother's reign, Ulysses sets out on a dangerous journey to rescue her.
As Ulysses crosses the forbidden frontier separating Greatland from the outside world, he discovers shocking truths about his origins and the reality of the Mother's dictatorship. Along the way, he encounters a cast of colorful and bizarre characters, including a group of eccentric rebels, a gun-toting cowgirl, and a manic TV host promoting a strange election that ultimately leads to chaos and violence.
