Grave of the Vampire is a horror film released in 1972. The film opens with a group of college students exploring a creepy graveyard at night led by the professor, Dr. Howard (played by Michael Pataki). As they roam around the desolate cemetery, they awaken a vampire who emerges from his coffin and attacks and kills one of the students.

The story then jumps forward in time to the present day where a young woman, Kate (played by Kitty Vallacher), is seen crying as she mourns the death of her mother. Kate's father, James (played by William Smith), has been serving time in prison for raping a woman in a graveyard. It soon becomes clear that James is actually the son of the vampire that attacked and raped the woman years earlier and that Kate is his half-vampire daughter.

As Kate struggles to come to terms with her vampiric heritage and identity, her father James manages to break out of prison and sets out to avenge himself on the vampire who impregnated his mother. The film culminates in a climactic battle between the two vampires as they fight to the death.

Grave of the Vampire is known for its graphic violence and sexual content, including the infamous scene where the vampire rapes the woman in the graveyard. Despite its controversial subject matter, the film has gained a cult following over the years and is considered a classic of 1970s horror cinema.
