Dr. Miranda Grey is the criminal psychologist who wakes up in the mental institution where she works as a practitioner. She is shocked to learn that she has been accused of killing her husband, whom she has no memory of killing. She is haunted by strange visions and ghostly encounters in the institution, which cause her to doubt her own sanity.
As she tries to unravel the mystery of her husband's death, she discovers that a vengeful spirit is manipulating her from beyond the grave. Her coworkers and friends at the institution, however, believe that she is crazy and that her supposed visions are nothing more than a manifestation of her guilt.
To complicate matters, Dr. Grey's former patient, a troubled girl named Chloe, is also at the institution. Chloe seems to have a special connection to the ghostly spirit tormenting Dr. Grey, and the doctor must navigate this strange connection in order to uncover the truth about her husband's murder.
As the truth slowly emerges, Dr. Grey must confront her own guilt and come to terms with the fact that the ghostly spirit may be an apparition of her own guilty consciousness. She must also fight to clear her name and reclaim her sanity before it's too late.
