Good

Drama  United States of America

"Good" is a drama film directed by Vicente Amorim. The story revolves around Payton, a talented and ambitious college student who becomes the caretaker of Gregory Devereaux, a dying businessman who offers to pay for Payton's education in exchange for his services.

Despite a rocky start, Payton and Gregory form a close relationship as Payton helps Gregory reconcile with his estranged daughter and come to terms with his impending death. However, as the truth about Gregory's past sins begins to surface, Payton is forced to confront a difficult decision: stay loyal to Gregory and potentially ruin his own future, or take a stand against the wrongdoings of his benefactor.

Complicating matters further, Payton learns that he has impregnated his girlfriend, adding a sense of urgency to his decision-making process. As he struggles with his conscience and his desire to make something of himself, Payton must ultimately decide what is most important to him: his own dreams or his loyalty to Gregory and the potential ramifications for his future.

"Good" stars Viggo Mortensen as Gregory Devereaux and Jason Isaacs as Payton, with Jodie Whittaker and Steven Mackintosh in supporting roles. The film premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival in 2008 and received mixed reviews from critics.
