Good Sam is a 2019 American drama film directed by Kate Melville and written by Teena Booth, Dete Meserve, and Melissa Salmons. The film stars Tiya Sircar, Chad Connell, and Marco Grazzini.
The story follows journalist Kate Bradley, who is assigned to investigate a mysterious Good Samaritan who has been leaving thousands of dollars in cash on the doorsteps of different New Yorkers. She begins to follow the leads and discovers that it all began with a note which was left by Good Sam, urging people to “pay it forward”. As she gets closer to unraveling the mystery, she starts to realize that Good Sam’s good deeds have a ripple effect that span far beyond the cash.
Kate’s investigation of Good Sam benefits her personal life as well. She finds a new perspective of the world and learns to open up to her boyfriend and confront her journalistic ethics.
