Good Burger is a 1997 comedy film about a teenager named Dexter Reed (played by Kenan Thompson) who accidentally crashes his teacher's car and must find a way to earn $1,900 to pay for the damages. He ends up getting a job at Good Burger, a struggling local burger joint run by a lovable but clueless slacker named Ed (played by Kel Mitchell).
Meanwhile, the evil Mondo Burger chain opens up a new location right across the street, with plans to put Good Burger out of business. The arrogant and ruthless owner of Mondo Burger, Kurt (played by Jan Schweiterman), even tries to steal Ed's secret sauce recipe.
Dexter and Ed team up to save Good Burger from being destroyed by Mondo Burger's corporate greed. They come up with wacky schemes to attract customers, including a hilariously disastrous TV commercial and an impromptu dance-off in the middle of the street.
The film features a variety of memorable characters, from Ed's hilarious catchphrase ("Welcome to Good Burger, home of the Good Burger, can I take your order?") to Dexter's stoner friend (played by Abe Vigoda) who has a bizarre obsession with catching a shark.
Good Burger was based on a sketch from the popular Nickelodeon TV series All That and became a cult classic. It's a movie full of goofy charm, slapstick humor, and heartwarming friendship that will appeal to both kids and adults.
