Max, Thor, and Lucas are best friends who are about to enter middle school, and they are determined to make the most of their last days of summer before their lives change dramatically. When Max's dad leaves for a business trip, the boys come across his drone and decide to use it to spy on their teenage neighbor Hannah.
Things quickly go awry when Max loses control of the drone and it crashes into Hannah's house, causing significant damage. Panicking, the boys embark on a quest to retrieve the drone before Max's parents get home and find out what they have done. Along the way, they encounter a series of misadventures and obstacles that test their friendship and resourcefulness.
As they navigate through the challenges of middle school and growing up, the boys must also confront their own insecurities and fears. Through their journey to fix the drone, they learn valuable lessons about friendship, honesty, and the importance of taking responsibility for their actions.
