Kath and her boyfriend, Jeff, were planning a romantic weekend getaway in the remote redwood forest. However, upon arriving at the cabin, they find a younger couple, Graham and Zoe, already there. The rental has apparently been double-booked, and after some initial awkwardness, they all agree to share the cabin for the night.
As the night progresses, the four of them bond over shared stories and drinks. However, things take a turn for the worse when Kath wakes up in the middle of the night and realizes that Jeff and Zoe are nowhere to be found. She begins to panic, but Graham assures her that the couple has probably gone for a walk and will be back soon.
But as the sun rises, Jeff is still missing. Kath and Graham search the woods with no luck, and when they return to the cabin, they find that Zoe is also gone. Kath begins to suspect foul play, but Graham remains mysterious and evasive about what really happened.
As Kath's desperation grows, she uncovers a series of unsettling clues that hint at a dark and supernatural explanation for her boyfriend's disappearance. As night falls again, Kath must confront the horrifying truth about what really happened in the redwoods, and whether she will be able to rescue Jeff from a fate worse than death.
