The movie Gold Statue follows the journey of two young Nigerian men, Wale and Chike, as they embark on a quest to find a gold statue that has been passed down in Wale's family for generations. The statue, which is said to be worth millions of dollars, was lost during the Nigerian Civil War and has been missing ever since.
After discovering that the statue may be located in Benin City, Wale and Chike set out on a road trip to retrieve it. Along the way, they encounter a variety of colorful characters and face numerous obstacles. However, their determination never wavers, and they eventually track down the precious artifact.
Unfortunately, their triumph is short-lived when they are unexpectedly arrested and thrown into a maximum-security prison. In order to survive their time behind bars, Wale and Chike must band together with their fellow inmates and navigate a complex social hierarchy controlled by ruthless gang leaders.
Despite the danger and adversity, the two men maintain their optimism and continue to search for a way out. Along the way, they learn valuable lessons about friendship, resilience, and the power of hope.
