Going for Gold is a sports drama film directed by Clay Glen that follows the life of Emma Wilson, a seventeen-year-old American who moves to Australia with her father, a former Air Force Officer, after the death of her mother. Emma is an accomplished gymnast and she hopes to join the gymnastics team at her new school. However, she discovers that the gymnastics club has been closed down and she is urged by her new friends to join the school's cheerleading team instead.
