Goemon is a Japanese action-adventure film released in 2009, directed by Kazuaki Kiriya. The movie is based on the fictional character Ishikawa Goemon, a Robin Hood-like ninja bandit who robs from the rich to give to the poor during the Sengoku period in Japan.
The movie begins with Goemon and his partner, Saizo (Takao Osawa), attempting to steal a valuable treasure from a corrupt merchant during a festival.
