In Godzilla vs. Hedorah, the alien life-form known as Hedorah arrives on Earth and begins feeding on pollution, growing larger and more dangerous with each meal. As Hedorah wreaks havoc on Japan, Godzilla emerges to confront the new threat to humanity.
The battle between Godzilla and Hedorah is intense and destructive, as Hedorah's abilities to release toxic gases and corrosive sludge prove to be a significant challenge for Godzilla. At one point, Hedorah even flies through the air, making it difficult for Godzilla to hit him.
As the battle rages on, humans attempt to come up with a solution to defeat Hedorah. They experiment with various weapons, including an electrical discharge machine, but nothing seems to work. Eventually, they come up with a plan to dry out Hedorah's body by draining all of the water from a nearby lake.
In the climactic battle, Godzilla manages to defeat Hedorah by ripping off its head, causing the alien life-form to dissolve into a pile of sludge that seeps into the ground. As the movie ends, Godzilla returns to the ocean while humans ponder the long-term effects of pollution on the environment.
