Following the events of the 2014 film "Godzilla", Monarch continues to monitor the existence of giant monsters around the world. When eco-terrorist organization "Project: Apex" seeks to awaken the Titans (the giant monsters) and use them to cleanse the Earth, Monarch is caught in the middle of a battle for the fate of humanity.
As Godzilla emerges and battles the other Titans, Monarch scientists and military personnel such as Dr. Emma Russell, Mark Russell, and Colonel Alan Jonah find themselves racing against time to prevent Project: Apex from carrying out their plan to unleash King Ghidorah and usher in a new age of titans.
The action-packed film features stunning visual effects and epic battles as the Titans clash and Monarch fights to stop the destruction of the planet. Along the way, they discover that not all of the Titans are monsters, with Mothra and her symbiotic relationship with Godzilla proving to be key in the fight against King Ghidorah.
In the end, Monarch must make a difficult decision that impacts the fate of the Titans and humanity. The film sets the stage for the upcoming MonsterVerse crossover event, "Godzilla vs. Kong".
