Godmothered is a Disney+ original comedy film directed by Sharon Maguire and starring Jillian Bell, Isla Fisher, Jane Curtin, June Squibb, Utkarsh Ambudkar, and Santiago Cabrera. The movie tells the story of Eleanor (Jillian Bell), a young and inexperienced fairy godmother who lives in the magical world of Motherland, where she is trained to grant wishes to young girls in need.
However, when Eleanor hears that a little girl named Mackenzie (Isla Fisher) has made a desperate wish for a happy ending in a world that doesn't believe in fairytales anymore, she decides to go on a mission to save her. Despite her supervisor's disapproval, Eleanor uses her magic to travel to the "real world" in search of Mackenzie.
But when Eleanor arrives in Boston, she is surprised to find that Mackenzie is now a grown woman who has lost faith in love, dreams, and fairy godmothers. As Mackenzie struggles with her job, her family, and a complicated love life, Eleanor tries to help her find happiness by fulfilling her wishes.
However, as she gets closer to Mackenzie, Eleanor learns that real life is not as simple or as easy as fairytales make it seem. She discovers the importance of friendship, family, hard work, self-discovery, and the true meaning of love. Along the way, Eleanor also faces some challenges of her own, including romantic feelings for a handsome but skeptical single father named Hugh Prince (Santiago Cabrera).
