Western  Italy

The gunslinger is named Cat Stevens, played by Terence Hill, and the robber is named Bill San Antonio, played by Frank Wolff. The insurance agent is called Hutch Bessy, played by Bud Spencer.

The film opens with the robbery of the train, as San Antonio and his gang brutally slaughter everyone on board. Cat Stevens becomes interested in the robbery when he hears about the large amount of money stolen and begins hatching a plan to steal it himself.

Stevens plays a rigged game of poker with San Antonio, causing a fight to break out. Stevens ultimately triumphs in the shootout, killing San Antonio and his men. However, as they search for the hidden fortune, they discover that there is a traitor among them.

The traitor, revealed to be one of San Antonio's own gang members, tries to kill Stevens and Hutch. In the ensuing fight, the traitor is killed, and Hutch is shot. As Stevens tends to Hutch's wounds, they discover that the money they fought so hard for is actually worthless Confederate bonds. In the end, they give the bonds to a group of farmers, ultimately sacrificing their greed for the greater good.
