Go West Young Man is a 1936 romantic comedy film directed by Henry Hathaway and starring Mae West, Warren William, and Randolph Scott. Mae West plays the role of Mavis Arden, a famous actress who is adored by fans all over the world. However, she becomes suspicious of her publicity man, Lawrence, when her car breaks down on the way home from a performance.

Unwilling to face the rumors that are sure to circulate if Mavis is seen with a man, Lawrence decides to find a secluded place for her to spend the night. He ends up taking her to a run-down hotel in a small town, where Mavis is forced to socialize with the locals and confront the reality of life outside of Hollywood.

While in town, Mavis meets a handsome and charming repairman named Bud (Randolph Scott). Despite his humble background, Bud captures Mavis's attention with his natural charm and wit. In turn, Mavis introduces him to the world of Hollywood and encourages him to pursue his dream of inventing equipment for the film industry.

As Mavis and Bud grow closer, Lawrence becomes increasingly jealous and attempts to sabotage their budding relationship. However, Mavis refuses to let him come between her and Bud, and the two continue to explore their feelings for each other.

Throughout the film, Mae West showcases her signature wit and humor as she navigates the complexities of fame and love. The movie was a box office success and is often cited as one of West's most memorable performances.
