The movie Gnomeo & Juliet is a 2011 animation film directed by Kelly Asbury and produced by Elton John, who wrote new songs for the film. The story follows the adventures of two garden gnomes, Gnomeo and Juliet, who fall in love despite being from opposite sides of a feud between the red-hatted garden gnomes and the blue-hatted garden gnomes.
The film is inspired by William Shakespeare's classic play Romeo and Juliet, and it cleverly incorporates many of the iconic scenes from the play into the story.
