The main character, Emily, is consumed by guilt and grief after her father’s death. She finds solace in secretly observing her neighbors' daily activities from her bedroom window. However, when a series of murders occur in her small town, Emily becomes paranoid and begins to suspect that her quiet and charming neighbor, Tom, might be the culprit.
Emily's suspicion intensifies when she learns that her mother is romantically involved with Tom. She becomes determined to prove his guilt, but as evidence starts to mount against Tom, Emily finds herself questioning her own sanity.
The tension builds as Emily's obsession with Tom collides with her fragile emotional state, and she spirals out of control. Throughout the movie, Emily is haunted by her father's ghost, who appears in her dreams and reminds her of her own shortcomings.
